Epworth United Methodist Church has partnered with Angel Food
Ministries! We are excited about our new outreach program called Angel
Food Ministries. This ministry allows anyone to purchase boxes of food
at just over half of grocery store prices. Angel Food groceries are sold in
a quantity that can fit in a medium size box at $25 per unit. Each month's
menu consists of both fresh and frozen items with an average retail value
of $50-$75. Generally, one box of food assists in feeding a family of four
(4) for about one week, or a single senior citizen for about a month. The
food is the same high quality that one would purchase at a grocery store.
Who Can Participate?
Everyone can participate in this ministry. There are no income limits or
qualifications that must be met. The menu changes each month. Menus
will be available in Epworth's Sunday bulletin, church office and also on
Angel Food Ministries website.
There are no limits to the number of boxes an individual can order.
Orders must be paid in full when placed. Cash, check or food stamp
vouchers accepted. Order deadline and pick-up day will be available with
each month's menu.
Distribution Day
On Distribution Day, orders must be picked up at the church between the
hours of 8:30 - 10:30am. Orders will not be held. There are no refunds
once an order is placed. Unclaimed boxes will be given to families in
need.
Three ways to order:
1. In person on the first Wednesday and Thursday of each month in the
church narthex (lobby). Hours are: Wed. 9am-12noon; Thurs. 3-6pm.
2. Mail: Send check or money order to "Angel Food Ministry, c/o Epworth
United Methodist Church, 19285 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth Beach,
DE, 19971.
3. Online at http://angelfoodministries.com . Click on "Find a Local Site"
and type in Rehoboth Beach, DE. Locate the Epworth UMC information
and click "Order Online". Only credit or debit cards are accepted.
